World renowned surgeon Dr Tim Proudman and his team, will speak on successful surgical and Hand therapy clinical and training programs in Bhutan.

The Rotary Club North of Adelaide (D9500 Group4) invites you to join us for an inspiring presentation by Dr Proudman who will share his experiences of the life changing reconstructive surgeries , associated allied health support, and training of local surgeons, doctors and nurses being carried out by Interplast.  

You will hear stories of triumph and courage and appreciate how this work is transforming the lives of individuals, families and communities. 

Our guest speaker, Dr Tim Proudman, a local well renowned Reconstructive Surgeon heads up teams which perform operations for cleft palates, burns victims, disfigurement, cranial facial problems and large growths. These services provide dignity for the patients and their families who otherwise would remain stigmatised.  The teams also train local health professionals.

Interplast is proudly supported by the Rotary Clubs of South Australia.

The medical team have graciously agreed to share their life changing experiences with the northern suburbs Rotary Clubs and health professionals.

The dinner is hosted by the Mawson Lakes Rotary club on behalf of the Rotary clubs located north of Adelaide and  we would like to invite you to join us at our Biannual dinner. 

All Proceeds from the dinner will be donated to Interplast.

Dr Tim Proudman


Dr Tim Proudman completed his medical degree in 1986 at the University of Adelaide. He trained in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Adelaide and Brisbane and in 1996 became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. In 1996 he undertook fellowship in the UK at St James' Hospital in Leeds. In 1998 he was awarded Master of Surgery by the University of Adelaide. He is currently Head of Unit of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.


Dr Proudman has served on the Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons from 2003 to 2009 and was Chairman of the Board from 2007 to 2009. He is currently an Examiner for the College.

His interests are in all aspects of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has expertise in skin cancer surgery, breast surgery, tummy tuck, eyelid and facelift surgery, liposuction, children's plastic surgery such as prominent ears and hand surgery, brachial plexus surgery and peripheral nerve surgery.
